This week has been centered all around Bonfire Night.  We have looked at different ways that this is celebrated and discussed our own family traditions for this celebration.

Children enjoyed learning about the firework code and writing safety rules.

The children really enjoyed learning about the history of this celebration.  We looked at images of the Houses of Parliament and learned that London is the capital city of England.

The children enjoyed listening to the story of Guy Fawkes and acted this out with stick puppets, they retold the story to each other and sequenced pictures of the story.

By far their favouite activity was making ‘Wanted Posters’ to help catch Guy Fawkes.
